WE'RE ENGAGED!

December 29, 2016 was one of the most amazing and memorable days of my life! Did I have any clue? Well, yes, but no. We had discussed becoming engaged, but I didn't know when and I definitely didn't know where. We spent the morning with Shane's family in Mammoth eating and hanging out down by the village. After a while, we went over to Tamarack lodge to meet up with his parents to enjoy a bottle of wine, as it was their wedding anniversary. Before we headed into the lodge, we went across the bridge to the outdoor chapel - which you wouldn't have even known was there because there is SO MUCH SNOW. We stood there looking out on the frozen lake and the beautiful surroundings. Before I knew it, we were talking about us and our future, and then Shane said he talked to my dad because he had a very important question to ask... next thing I know, he's kneeling down in the snow (in jeans) and proposing to me! I think I blacked out there for a second. Totally was crying tears of joy. Said yes (obviously!) and met back in the lodge with his parents to celebrate. Later on in the night we shared the news with everyone else and celebrated the whole rest of the night. Such an amazing day, every time I think about it I can't help but smile ear to ear. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with this handsome man!
