Columbia & Yosemite

Shane and I had such a fun couple of weeks getting to spend MLK weekend up at his grandparents in Sonora, CA. When I was a little girl, my dad would take me and my brother to Columbia for the weekend - I remember panning for gold and climbing on the rocks. All. Day. Long. It was so fun having the opportunity to relive those memories almost 20 years later! I'm so thankful Shane and I had the opportunity to go up north and spend time with his family and get to explore not only Columbia, but Yosemite. I had never been to Yosemite until this trip, and it was SO gorgeous. It almost seemed like it wasn't real. The snow was covering the valleys and the trees, and the waterfalls had ice chunks flowing off the mountains! Really, I had never seen anything like it. We had such an amazing time seeing the sites, but boy it was really really cold. Along with our trips to Columbia and Yosemite, we also spent a day in Murphy's where we went wine tasting and ventured around the little town. All in all, it was a great trip and I cannot wait to go back - but maybe in the summer, when it's just not quite as cold :)
